The IPv6-Quake game on IPv6

Requirements:

FreeBSD 3.2 (
www.freebsd.org
)

Dev X11 + gmake distributions installed

Kame Stable for FreeBSD 3.2 (
www.kame.net
)

Quake (
quakeforge version modified by Viagénie
)

You will also need pak0.pak and pak1.pak from the
registered version
(not the shareware version).
Instructions:

Install Kame stable on your FreeBSD
-
Setup an IPv6 tunnel (see
www.freenet6.net
-
Install Dev X11distribution and gmake
-
Download the
quake-v6-bsd-kame.tar.gz
archive
-
untar in the directory of your choice (/usr/local/quake for example)
-
Execute the command "./configure --disable-asmopt".
-
Execute "qw-client-x11 -safe" in the "targets" directory
-
Enter the "connect quake.ipv6.viagenie.qc.ca" command
-
Welcome in the "quake world"...
We provide an IPv6 quake world server for you to experiment with, at :
quake.ipv6.viagenie.qc.ca
The actual version works with a freebsd client connected to a freebsd or Slaris
8 quake server. The Solaris client compiles but is not stable.
