IPv6 prefix allocation tool

This tool uses the method described in the draft "A flexible method for an IPv6 addressing plan" to generate a list of prefix using the rightmost, centermost or leftmost algorithm.

Last prefix allocated:
Number of bits (range):
Algorithm:leftmost centermost rightmost
Number of prefix to generate:

Usage example

You have been assigned the prefix 2001:410::/35 and want to generate a list of /40 prefixes.
  • Enter the last prefix allocated. If no prefix was previously allocated, you can simply enter 2001:410::/40.
  • Specify the range (number of bits) you want to work with. In this example, it will be 5 bits (40-35).
  • Choose the algorithm and how many prefix you want to generate.
  • Select raw output if you need to do a copy/paste of the result
